Matthieu GRANDPIERRON

Matthieu Grandpierron is Associate Professor at ICES, where he leads the political science programs. He completed his PhD at École Polytechnique and the University of Ottawa before joining Columbia University through the CES-Alliance mobility program. He also lectures at École Polytechnique, Tsinghua University (Beijing), and the East China University of Political Science and Law (Shanghai). He co-chairs the “International Relations as Social Science” working group within the British International Studies Association (BISA). His research focuses on the foreign policies of major powers, the role of emotions in international relations, and the evolution and contestation of the international order.
