Clément Therme is a lecturer at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier and Sciences Po Paris. A specialist in Iranian affairs, he has held research positions at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), the French Research Institute in Iran (Tehran), the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva, and the Middle East program at the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri). His articles have been published in journals such as Iranian Studies, The Middle East Journal, Survival, Politique étrangère, Diplomacy & Statecraft, and Relations Internationales. He edited Iran and Its Rivals (Passés Composés, 2020) and co-edited Iran in Search of Balance (Confluences Méditerranée, 2020). His forthcoming book, based on his habilitation thesis, Iran–U.S. Relations since 1979: Tested by the Islamic Republic, will be published by Presses Universitaires de la Méditerranée (PULM) in 2025.
